I have looked at cars for the past 3 months & visited at least 7. Transparency & communications were so much better at Maita Mazda than everywhere else. Quotes by email were clear & messages were replied to quickly. All the final prices & details were exactly the same at closing as represented in emails. Sherri Wicksten was unusually good to interact with. Not just friendly, but very straight talking, knowledgeable & patient. It was obvious that she takes pride in her work, taking the car to fill it with gas, wiping off the windshield & exterior mirrors when she didn't know we were seeing her, and patiently spending a lot of time to explain the fabulous features in our new CX 5. Her partner Ira Carter sent very clear & complete quotes, unlike other dealers. Beth, the finance rep was not only very nice but very accurate & not pushy. Every number on the final docs was the same as on the quote received by email. No one had the "that's not my job" attitude & people worked together. Overall, the whole buying experience was thorough & well done, including quick installation of an option. “ The manual transmission on my 2016 Miata self-destructed on 10/12/19. I brought it in to Maita on Monday morning, 10/14/19. I was told on Thursday 10/17 that it would be replaced under warranty, that the new transmission would be at the dealer on Monday 10/21, and that I would have the car back on Tuesday 10/22. Although the part arrived on time on 10/21, the work did not start until very late on 10/22, and the car was not ready at close of business that day. I was told it would be finished the morning of 10/23. It is now 1:00 PM on 10/23, I am told the car is essentially repaired, but it will take several more hours for a test drive to be completed. What about a test drive by a technician takes "several more hours"? I have no idea if the car is really repaired or I am just getting the run around. All I want is a straight answer and my car back . Is that too much to ask? Why can't I get a straight answer? I have purchased 3 new Miatas over the years from Maita, but this may be my last one. ”
