My salesman was Joe. Let me tell you, he’s the most genuine salesman I’ve ever met! I came there in a rental car (27F, shopping by herself) looking to buy because my older CX-5 broke down, and he went above and beyond to help me. I told him if I bought a car I’d need to drop off my rental so I could drive my new car home, and he helped me arrange everything and gave me a ride there. He was very knowledgeable and made me feel so comfortable throughout the car buying process. He definitely deserves to get promoted. Great a selling cars, while also being a genuine guy. I’m a very happy customer (left with a little 2023 Miata!). Would shop there again!!! Wish I could give more than 5 stars.

This time last week I wasn't even thinking about buying a new car, but a service visit turned up a costly repair on my 2017 Mazda 3 hatchback. Well, I was not pleased, that's for sure, BUT having been a customer of Maita Mazda since June 2017, I have always been pleased with their customer service and ethical treatment. The Service Department immediately connected me with a salesman, Joe Perez, and turned this anxious "senior" woman into a smiling customer with a beautiful Mazda certified pre-owned CX-30. Joe stuck with me through all my questions and concerns, and didn't blink an eye when at the very last minute (paperwork was almost finalized) I changed my mind on the first vehicle I was going to buy because...well...I wanted a pretty color. Yeah, I'm that woman! He didn't even register a hint of annoyance and he came in for me on his day off! He wanted me to walk out the door with a smile on my face, and that's exactly what happened. I love my new car and want to say thank you to Joe for never once making me feel I was an annoyance (I'm pretty certain I was) but he smiled through it all...and a heartfelt smile, too. Even the financing went smoothly, another testament to Maita's overall customer satisfaction. Can't recommend Joe and Maita enough.

Last year, before Christmas, I decided it was time to purchase a new car. Previously, I had a 2011 Ford escape that was recently involved in a minor accident. It ran well, but I put more money into the car over the years than it was worth. When I pulled into the lot on Sunday, December 21, I was greeted by a sales representative named Kay. He was welcoming and professional from start to finish. First, I test drove the CX-50 which was perfect except it didn’t fit in my price range. Then, I test drove the CX-30, but it was too snug. Finally, I test drove the CX-5 which was just right. I’m a licensed massage therapist and at times I do mobile massage. For this reason, I wanted to make sure my massage table fit in the trunk of the car, and it did. Aside from all the safety features, CarPlay, backup monitor, I emphasized to Kay, it had to be RED. Let me tell you it is the most beautiful cherry apple glimmering red I’ve ever seen with black interior. The finance manager Eric was also personable and professional and got me a low interest rate and monthly car payment. I started the new year by purchasing my car on Saturday, January 3 and traded in my 2011 Ford escape. It was not hard to part with. I would recommend Maita Mazda for anyone looking for amazing customer service and a car that is fuel efficient, modern, versatile, and has the sleek elegance of a luxury vehicle. I love my Mazda CX-5 !!!

Leaving another five star from a second account because I had another impressive interaction with this dealer. They offer a maintenance package included with their cars. The dealer I went to service at wouldn’t accept it. Alex the GM and my sales professional, Art, stepped up and offered to cover the cost I incurred today. People- this is a world class dealership. My only regret is assuming the worst before giving the chance to resolve the issue. They stepped up so quick and made it right. Edit: I’m going to drive a little further and get serviced here now too.

So I already purchased a VW Tiguan somewhere else - but I wasn’t so happy with the mileage and the box look. So I search for what I originally wanted - sun roof, heated seats, low mileage, luxury & sporty . Josh from Maita Mazda reached out quickly. He start showing me the CX-50 Mazda hybrid / regular- but the interior didn’t give me the look I wanted. While looking at vehicles - I was on the phone with my bank getting values and if they can finance me the full amount if I go over - - since I already received an approval from my credit union . Josh started being soooooo rude - stating he won’t talk to me nor my bank . At this point i had to tell him don’t do that - don’t label me don’t be bias , don’t do what ever you thinking. He rushed and grabbed someone else . Man this guy was amazing - Joe . Joe knew what I wanted - He had patience , he was so kind and genuine. He diffused the situation. Not only that he heard me -Joe listened to me . Made me laugh through the whole process. While working with me - his other client came in . Let me tell you - he multitasked and held the customer service to a higher standard. He was so efficient and outstanding. He sold me my 2023 Mazda Cz -9 Carbon edition with red seats with 35,000 miles with already included a factory warranty till 36,000 miles and a CPO with Warranty till it reach to 100k

I am very disappointed with this place recently, we took it in recently to have an electrical problem diagnosed & fixed & since it was not fixed we had to take it back twice now $500 later the original problem is STILlL not fixed & upon picking it up not only that,my door locks are now completely broken & they are asking for more money to look at it again , which I declined. We have had good experience in the past but after this experience we may never return. I definitely don't recommend this place especially if your car has an electrical problem

Went in committed to buy a car, everything was great (good sales floor people) until they decided to bring in “manager”, also known as owners son, who decided to make us feel stupid and started to hardball/forcing us to justify ourselves, making my pregnant wife cry. My wife and I had an absolutely terrible experience with Maita Mazda in Sacramento, and it was a complete waste of time from start to finish. We initially stopped by about a week ago to look at MX-5 Miatas. They only had one, which was on the showroom floor up on a lift. No one seemed particularly interested in bringing it down for a test drive, and rather than push, we left. We then drove to another Mazda dealership in a neighboring town where we were able to test drive the same model with no issue. Earlier this week, we decided to make an offer on the MX-5 at Maita Mazda and sent it via email, thinking it would be easier and less awkward to negotiate remotely. That was a mistake. Communication was inconsistent at best—sometimes quick replies, other times hours or even the next day with no response. This back-and-forth dragged on for four days. When they finally sent a counteroffer, they completely ignored our numbers and reverted to their online “internet price,” showing zero interest in negotiating. On top of that, they added a $3,995 service contract and three accessories totaling $2,539 that we explicitly did not want. We immediately told them we had no interest in any add-ons and wanted to negotiate the actual sale price of the car. Eventually, we were told we needed to speak with a manager. After a phone call and more back-and-forth, we couldn’t initially come to an agreement. We regrouped, came up with a final number we were comfortable with, and the salesman confirmed that the manager accepted it. We were very clear that this was the agreed-upon sales price before standard fees (doc fee, DMV fees, and sales tax). Based on that agreement, we moved forward. At their request, we filled out a credit application, allowing them to run our credit, and we scheduled a time to come in the next day to close the deal. To do that, we made a special trip to our credit union—over 39 miles away—to get a cashier’s check for the down payment. We then went to the dealership, test drove the vehicle, and started the paperwork. Everything appeared to be going smoothly… until we were shown the final numbers. Despite our explicit agreement, they added $1,295 for one of the accessories they had previously tried (and failed) to sell us, claiming it had already been applied to the vehicle (interior, glass, etc.). This charge was never disclosed during negotiations and was not part of the agreed-upon sales price. We refused to pay for it. At that point, another manager became involved, then the “owner.” After all of that, we were told: sorry for the confusion, but we’re not going to be able to sell you the car today. So after days of negotiations, a confirmed agreement, allowing them to run our credit, a long trip to get a cashier’s check, and time spent at the dealership, they killed the deal over a forced add-on we never agreed to. This experience was unprofessional, misleading, and incredibly frustrating at multiple levels. We will never do business with Maita Mazda, and I strongly recommend others think twice before trusting them with their time, finances, or credit.

Stay far away from Maita Mazda. We bought a CX-50 Turbo here and the issues never stopped. They did not give us an itemized receipt at delivery. Now they refuse to send copies by email or mail unless we come in person. When my wife called about it, Mario talked down to her like she was dumb and kept saying she left without the contract. That never happened. They are also refusing to cancel our nearly $3,000 extended warranty. They claim they have to check the mileage in person first. That is against California law (California Civil Code § 1794.41). Cancellation legally only need notice, not some forced visit. Rude staff, shady practices, and no respect for customers or the law. Go anywhere else for your Mazda.

I went to this dealership to test drive a Mazda3 hatchback. Despite making an appointment with Art, when we arrived he passed us off to another salesman, Michael, who did not know anything about what we were looking for. Michael went to go get the keys for the test drive while we waited. As it turns out, the person with the keys was out on a lunch break. After waiting 45 minutes, we were able to test drive a different car, as the person apparently still wasn’t back yet. For his part, Michael was helpful in answering our questions and assisted us in looking at a couple of other models. He didn’t apply any pressure and overall it was a positive experience. However, after asking for a lease quote on the CX5, I asked whether a marked up money factor was being used, and I asked to remove a dealer add on. Michael chose not to answer my question about a marked up money factor, deflecting by explaining to me that “different leases have different money factors” which was not the question, and going on to explain that comparing money factors was somehow “apples and oranges.” I responded explaining the fact that Mazda has a base money factor which varies from vehicle to vehicle, but marking up the money factor was at the dealer’s discretion. Art then responded and asked me “what kind of money factor are you trying to get” which again dodged the question of dealer markup, and he reiterated that the $250 junk fee was not negotiable. I did call around to other dealers and confirmed that Maita did in fact mark up the money factor for a car of the exact same model and trim, and confirmed that the VIN etch is not at all required. I visited two other dealerships, both of which had the car pulled up by the time I arrived for the appointment, and both of which offered transparent lease worksheets. I called a third dealership, who initially marked up the money factor but responded transparently to my inquiry and removed the markup. I was able to close on a CX5 lease on terms that I am extremely happy with. I am disappointed in Maita’s transparency and professionalism, and I am glad that I trusted my intuition and continued shopping around.

Was contacted by Randy after going through the Costco Car buying program for a new CX-50 Hybrid. They were running a special for $3,800 off all remaining 2025 CX-50s. Told Randy I would come in a few days. Two days later I came in but Randy was out. Mike was helping me once I came in. Ended up finding out that special actually ended the day prior. The website however still had the Maita Price assuming $3,800 off. The website didn’t show an ending date for the special and Randy never indicated that it was going to end the day I talked to him. When I asked why I wasn’t told about this or why Randy didn’t tell me, Mike just simply said he wouldn’t have known. Mike then proceeded to say that they simply hadn’t updated the price yet on their website. So either they’re incompetent or malicious or a mixture of both. It felt like a complete bait and switch and I’ll just simply go to Mazda Roseville instead since they’ve always taken care of me. After I left they of course updated the price on the website. Regardless a very frustrating experience that was a waste of time.
